L100 lock spring and ball

I took the the door assembly off a 69 Trade Wind that wasn't working to try and clean it up. Now I can't figure out where a little spring and metal ball go. They were just laying in it unattached. Any one have a schematic of the assembly? I have the key but it just spun around when'd I tried it that's why I took it apart. Or can I send all the part somewhere to behave it refurbished. I'm stumped. Help me.

The spring fits into a slot in the lock mechanism. The ball fits onto the end of the spring and sits in one of the v notches depending on if it is locked or not. I've got to take mine apart and lube it this weekend. I'll take some pics if someone doesn't have a schematic by then.

Yes, identical. The block just to the right of the ball and spring has a slot on the back side where the spring fits. The knob housing to the left has a v notch that the ball moves in and out of when you lock it. The ball and spring keeps the lock plate from moving once you lock or unlock it.
