I just purchased my first Airstream. A 1965 22' Safari. It is the first trailer I have ever set foot inside, but for 10 years I have talked about buying one to refurbish, once I retire... which I hope to do in 4 years..... Maybe I can have it finished by then, or let's say, "started." I know absolutely NOTHING about travel trailers. To begin with, it has no keys. Do you just have to go to a locksmith, or are there places you can purchase keys if you have the model or serial numbers? Like cars, maybe?
with the exception of the door, most all airstream keys will unlock most others compartments. Your potable water key will unlock every travel trailers water cover. There are several keys for the door but if you go to a rally someone there will have your door key, borrow it and have one made.

Hi all,
For what it's worth, I recently went through this same scenario, I called A/S parts and a gal named Sara gave me a part number 001101 and advised me to contact an A/S dealer. Sure enough I bought two and they worked. Oh yeah, these were for the storage compartments.
Now I need to find the Potable water key.
ND any potable water key will work on your unit, they are all the same.
