Hauled out of the Junk yard.....Help!!

Hello we just bought home a 1972 Overlander from a junk yard. I couldn't believe that someone gave this to the owner, but they did. Its not perfect but its not really bad. The interior is much more neglected then abused. It has the rear bath and 2 twins and a hanging cot in the middle. We had a really bad hail storm here a few years I think this was facing west when that hit because the one corner is dinged pretty good. The Black water tank was going to fall out the back, my husband welded that back up there this last weekend. I spent 2 days scrubbing, the walls were so black and sticky they were like fly paper. Curtains decinigrated (sp) to the touch. Tossed them, I will have to make new ones. The questions I have now
are .....Can someone tell me what type of door handle goes in this door. I have seen a few on eBay at stores online, but I would just like to put it in, no modifications.

I have yet to figure out what the purpose of these rods are. Can anyone tell me??

I don't know why my camera does this color Change when they load but I think they are still viewable. These are just the first of what will be alot of question. We are just getting going on the plumbing and electric. Thanks in advance for you help. Melanie

Welcome to the forums.
Wow! The photos are kind of hard to take in all at once, but it looks like the door handle you need, is one that is almost impossible to obtain.
The rods and hooks are what folks would sometimes put up to hold towels and washcloths over the fridge vent. They would do this because the vent is warm, and the cloths would dry faster.

Dragonnfly.

The lock you need is the "super expensive" one called the KT lock. Airstreams listed retail price is $600.67. No that is not a typo.

Depending on what year you have that used that lock, a substitute has been put together, that will solve your problem, at least with the door lock.

Posting a serial number will help others to better help you, with your future Airstream needs.

You may want to make your pictures smaller and reload them...it will make them easier to view and may also solve your color issues. Any photo software program like PhotoShop, PaintShop, etc can be used to do this...
