Fixing broke set screw and inside lock on 1970 safari
So I found my inside lock was seized. Hit it with silicon spray. Used a hammer and finally got it moving up and down freely.
Well I need a key made so I called some locksmiths and was told it would be 100-150 to come fix it. Or take it off and bring it in for 20. The 4 screws came out fine. The set screw was busted off at the bottom. I had to drill it out. Didn't realize the set screw goes all the way to the top of the handle. I re drilled it and tapped it out. And used a 3/4 stainless steel screw to replace the set screw. It works great. I hope this helps someone else some day!
