I installed that door lock fix yesterday and it's easy to do and seems to work well. On my 2007 Safari I didn't have to take the pcok apart, just loosen the screws and you can work the washers in there- I'd say use the plasitc and the felt washers on a 2007.
I am mailing the envelop Monday and greatly appreciate what you are doing. I wondered what happened to the lock. We thought one of us had accidently flipped the lock closed. I was lucky the back bedroom window was open and I push the screen in and climb through and opened the trailer. We are going to put an extra key in a lock box on the tongue of the trailer from now on.

Andy - I hope the offer still stands - I'm sending the SASE today. This situation cost me a window screen in the dinette area over the weekend. We cut it out and climbed through - luckily the window was open, or we'd have had to call a locksmith.

The offer still stands and will stand indefinitely.
Unfortunately, most of the owners that have requested that kit, were already locked out.
We had hoped that many owners would request that "NO CHARGE" kit, "BEFORE" they got locked out, but time will tell.
Post the results after you install the kit, so others will know how simple it is to do.

Unfortunately, that's how I learn MOST of the lessons in life - by dealing with the consequences!!! I'll bet I'm not the ONLY one on this forum in that boat!
I'll post results and pictures too if I remember my digital camera!
Thanks again!

Thank you, Andy. We have been locked out on our ’99, but had a window
open.
We just had a spring break on our ’78 Argosy and had to remove the
door. The lever on the vertical shaft is broken (part #4). Are there any parts available for it?

We have all the parts for the KT locks, the infamous lock used by Airstream from 1070 thru and including the 1977 model Airstream and Argosy trailers.
I'm sending you my envelope tomorrow! Thanks a bunch...this has happend to us...fortunately, the other one was inside when it happened...and the door wasn't even "slammed"...
