Door width on Airstream trailers and Mohos??

I know that this topic has been discussed before, but I'm interested in making an AS wheelchair-friendly. My concern is primarily just getting in through the entry door. My sister will have assistance for all other areas, so access for cooking, etc, once inside is less of a concern. We would also utilize a removable ramp to get in. Does any one happen to know the width of the entry doors on airstream trailers and motor homes?? Is this dimension standard on all Airstreams? My sister's power wheelchair is 25 inches wide (outer dimension). As this chair has a custom seating system, it is the most comfortable for her--other chairs without this seating system simply are not adequate for long-term positioning.

one of our members, Jeff/Vickie vBulletin Message - Airstream Trailer & Motorhome Community
has some experience in this area. they sent me this:

"Go to discountramps.com and look under portable ramps. The ramps weigh about 15 lbs and cost around $200 with shipping. We bought the 6 footers."

they look to be a great price and just right. you might want to send them a PM.

Our 2005 Safari 25 FB has an open door clearance width of exactly 26". As the door opens all the way around the hinge in not a factor. On this model the door can not open all the way with the awning deployed.

Does anyone know if the door width is standard or does it vary with the model/year?

My 75 TW has the same 26" opening.

I believe that all are the same. Unlike many manufacturers who build from the inside out, Airstreams are built from the outside in, so the door has to be wide enough for the refrig., cabinets, shower, etc. On many motorhomes the windshield has to be removed to replace the refrig.!!
