Door stop, door hold-open, whatever...

What should be used to keep the door from slamming against the side, bending the hinges, and denting the wall?

Vintage Trailer Supply - Vintage travel trailer parts and supplies!

Take a look at what Vintage Trailer Supply has to offer. I find them to be very friendly and promt with their service. The link above is what I have seen on vintage trailers - they have a lower profile model also.

There is nothing available that will prevent the door from slamming against the side of the trailer, which usually results in a bent door, except you.

Don't let the door fly out of your firm grip, and you will never have the problem.

The door slamming against the side of the trailer, "WILL" damage the side wall. There is nothing to stop it.

True Andy, I was only thinking of holding it once it was open. Yep, there have been times when the wind catches it that I could see the possibility of real damage. The item I listed above was only to hold the door once it is opened all the way.

Short of a chain, , the latch and housing that is available has worked extremely well.

Part #'s 18777, 18781, and 18796 will get the job done.

Takes a couple of minutes to install.
