door lock needed for '77 Argosy

Hi to all out there - just joined this today. Yeah!
Have a 77 argosys that needs a door replacement lock. Will be doing alot of traveling this summer to different music events so don't want any prowlers sneaking into my on the road home! Have contacted Inland RV in California. They have one for a 78, but doesn't look exactly the same as what i have. Any leads on where else i can look?
Thank You! donna

Donna.

Motorhome locks are very different from trailer locks, especially with an Airstream or Argosy product.

The original lock for your motorhome was made by a company that is out of business.

Therefore, all you can do is install a "lock kit". There is a lock available that can be used, but you must modifiy the lock area on the entrance door. Would take a couple of hours to make that change and to install the lock

If you did that, then should that new lock fail, a replacement is readily available. They are not very expensive.

Thank you for your telephone call.

You must not use a trailer lock on a motorhome.
