Door hinge pin?

I'm in the process of closing up the play in the main door & screen hinge, by inserting bronze tube bushings. I plan on enlarging the the holes just slightly to insert the bushings, but my question is,It looks like there is a small pin locking the hinge pin in place, and I need the best way to tap out the pin. Any info would be great!

hinge pin removal

I just remove our hinge pin this summer on our 1967 Airstream. It had what is called a roll pin that helped hold the hinge pin in place. You just need to find a punch that is small enough to tap the roll pin out. It should tap out from either side. The hinge pin was a different animal. It had one end that was larger than the other end. I do not remember which end was larger. I just remember that it came out easier one way than it did the other. I also used a lot of WD40 in the process.

Sorry to get back so late! Got a punch set and I'm waiting for a day off to work on it. Thank you for the reply!

You may wish to consider the probability of electrolytic corrosion between aluminium and bronze. This link shows the voltages in the galvanic series.

I would not use this combination. Stainless steel would be better, IMHO.
