Door Fix

I hope someone can give a bit of advice here. We just purchased our first airstream, a 73 20' Argosy, and have just started with some repairs. I've got some floor rot at the base of the leading edge of my suicide door. I've ordered a new door seal, but wondering if I need to realign the door as well, it's out of alignment by about 1/4". It's not "sprung" the door contour looks good, just not sure if the seal will be enough. Also, should note the clasp is barely gripping. when the trailer bounces it comes open.

Sorry, just noticed pictures should be rotated 90 degrees - I'll figure this out as we go.

Replace the rubber gasket seal as well. Contact Inland RV for the gasket and goo.

It's a scary thing to do, but it does work. Mine fits well now.

I won't let my brother-in-law watch when I fix his. I'm not even going to tell him the process.

You might want to check the fit of the hinge pin too.

Mine was badly worn out letting the door hang down.
