when riviting the skin back on the inside of a 2004 classic door can you use the same holes in the skin?

Can you get the holes lined up? Are you that good?
Pop a rivet in there and see how tight it is. You might want to use slightly bigger rivets depending on the size/condition of the holes.

If you start the riveting near the center of the sheet, using the original holes and work your way to each end of the sheet the hole might line up

The manual says to drill new holes otherwise you just lock in the old arch and you're back wher you started from with a bent door out of alignment.
