don't get lock outside with recent unit

Hi
I figure out tonight without any consequence but it could have been different that with a recent unit (mine is 2007) the lock pin can be put on lock position just by mistake goin out of the trailer and leave you outside your unit.
I did it but noticed it just before closing the door...
it would have been a bad night

That doesn't sound like fun! Maybe I should give in and call Inland -- http://www.airforums.com/forums/f453...fix-32012.html

Yes, do...I'd recommend it...those locks are (A) lockable while the door is open, then when you close the door, it's locked...and (B) can fall into the "locked" position if the door happens to slam... in fact, it doesn't even take a "slam" for it to happen...

We did the fix offered free by Inland RV...it's an easy fix, and makes the latch lever have more "tension" so it doesn't move as easily on its own...

Just send then an envelope and they'll send you the fix and instructions...takes 5 or 10 minutes to do...

No...you can still lock the door before it's closed, but because the latch lever doesn't move as freely, it's much less likely to happen accidentally...
