Deadbolt Sticking
In our 2012 25 FC FB, the deadbolt is occasionally sticking, both in locked and unlocked positions. Liberal applications of graphite helps, but I am still hesitant to use it. Anyone else have a similar issue? If so, did you find a fix?
TIA

The graphite works for me when I feel the lock getting a little resistance.

Where specifically do you apply the graphite? Thanks.

I had a problem with my 2012 27FB. The deadbolt locked and was stuck from the inside! I don't remember what I did to free myself - this was the first year we had the trailer and we had it repaired the next spring at the mothership. The door didn't fit properly and they fixed that and if I'm not mistaken, replaced the lock (as I remember getting new keys).
I don't know what the problem was....

My deadbolt is sticking too on a 2014 FC 30'. I think the door has flexed just enough to prevent the bolt from coming out. If I pry it gently with a small flathead screw driver while turning they key, it comes out.
I think this will require a fix of the door and a replacement of the deadbolt. Two things that are so low in my priority list right now, I'm just going to do without.

Hi
About the only other "quick fix" is to flood it with a cleaner like WD-40. That will flush out any compacted gunk in there. I would not do that a lot, but one time isn't going to hurt anything.

Having read Rich Luhr's maintenance bood, I tried silicone spray. Now, as a woodworker, I usually avoid silicone spray like the plague and I won't let it my woodshop. But it did work very well on the AS window locks, and the aluminum fittings as well. WD-40 is not really a solution, and I'm a bit doubtful of graphite as well. Maybe a teflon-based lubricant such as Tri-Flow would be best.t

I've got a new 2018, and the deadbolt was sticking in the retracted position. The service guy at the dealership said to check the screws on the interior plate. I did, they were loose, and after I tightened them the problem was gone.
