Damaged door lock-1986 Excella

Hello Airstream Forum,

Someone decided to use a screwdriver to access our A/S. Destroyed the locking "cylinder", luck was on our side, no access. - our access to our "George Miller" A/S was to drill the cylinder out. Any idea where I can find a replacement cylinder. The lock is undamaged.

fyi - we named our Excella after my wife's father, he was a champion fox hound trainer and loved the outdoors.

Thanks all in advance for any info..

Welcome to the forums!

This may seem obvious, but I would start with a dealer, or for lack of a local one, you might try those with an online presence such as Inland RV and outofdoorsmart.com. Your local locksmith may very well also be able to source the part.

good luck!

Is it the lock on the door handle or a dead bolt lock?

Hi Edhopkins, welcome to Air Forums. Sounds like your family has enjoyed the Airstream lifestyle for a long time.

I agree a local locksmith is a good place to start. Maybe you still have the damaged cylinder. A locksmith should be able to rebuild your trailer door latch and lock.
