'78 Excella 500 door lock

Hi there fellow airstreamers,
Does anyone know where to get a complete lock assembly for the late 70's excella's? Mine is pretty much non-repairable, using a screwdriver at the moment. Did these cross into some other manufacture's trailers? I have searched the web, and, so far no luck. Any help is appreciated. I would really rather not have to use the inland RV mod. kit if orig. parts can be found.
Thanks,
Mike

Keeler Brass made the 78 lock.

They have been out of business for years.

That was then replaced with a "GM" lock.

They too, have been out of business, for years.

That's why we came up with a "kit" instead having to tell customers, no can do.

78 excella lock

Thanks Andy,
I guess I will have to order the kit. I just didn't want to have to use the riveted on plate on the outside. Too bad airstream didn't use a more common part.

Airstream did use a more common lock, twice.

They were far more common than the 70-77 lock that costs $600.00, and is exclusive to Airstream.
