'71 Tradewind Door Skin

On my 71 (as opposed to my 73) there is no trim or reinforcement around the circumference of the skin. Someone obviously tried to jimmy the door open next to the lock resulting in some stretching.

On my 73 there is a noseing or trim that goes around the circumference of the door. I think if I could find some or make a strip of folded over aluminum I could pull the stretched metal back into shape. I would drill out and replace a few rivets.

Any suggestions where I can find some trim or noseing that would work? Any other suggestions?

I always check Brunner Enterprises first. You may need to look under mirror trim.

Other than that, most cities have and aluminum extruder or distributor.

What about welding it.

Smooth out the weld and polish it.
