68GT - sticky door latch.

The door latch on my 68GT gets stuck in the retracted position sometimes. Can this be greased, oiled or adjusted?

Thanks,

It is probably time to take it off the trailer so you can see all the insides, clean it with a solvent and then spray something like a white grease in a spray can on the moving parts in it. Not the lock cylinder, but the remainder of the mechanism. A quick fix might be the same spray white grease into the bolt from the door edge, but do it right and take it out to clean it properly.

That said, this is general information on lock sets of all types, not the specific one on your unit. I never had one from a '68 apart.

I was afraid of that. It appears that I would have to take the riveted on inside door panel off to get at it. Is this correct or is there another way to remove the latch?
