If either is correct, which is better?

What is correct and what is better is another issue.
The original lock for a 68 had a horizontal handle on the inside and a round knob on the outside. The big problem with that set up other than wear and tear, was the inside handles broke very frequently.
We suggest and supply the same lock, but with a round knob on both sides.
That assures you that you cannot break the anything from the inside, or out.
