I am new to Airstreams...have been looking for a while. I have a question and would appreciate any ones feed back. Does a 65 Caravel have two styles of doors? A door without a window? I thought they all had a window. Thanks everyone for your patience with me and help. Hopefully soon I will have an Airstream and be able to post lots of pictures.
To answer your question, Airstream doors in 1965 did not have windows, but the one's prior to '65 had what is called a Door within a Door. When this smaller door is open it reveals a large screened off opening.

1965 Caravels have a Jalousie window in the door. From what I've seen, I think it was removed after that year. Try google image search and you'll see what I mean. Or see the first pic in our blog

Thanks to all of you! I saw a 65 Caravel on Ebay with a solid door. The auction ended yesterday with a reserve that was not met. The door had me puzzled and I confirmed with the seller that is was a 65. He confirmed yes. I did place a bid on it but reserve was not met....he sent a second chance offer to me. The door had me stumped. I will let you all know what the outcome is. I cant wait to get an airstream and post pictures. Thanks to all of you again!
