'62 globetrotter - bargman L-100 doesn't fit - help?
ok, so at the end of last season the replacement bargman L-100 lock we modified to fit our 62 GT locled up, and wouldnt turn with the key. we had to break a window to get in and removed the lock set.
the problem that caused the modification to be required was that the door is too thick for the bargman L-100. the replacement is designed for doors up to 1 5/8" thick.
we had to replace the center pin with a longer pin. this may have caused the lock to freeze up.
From pics, it looks from the outside like the L-100 is the correct / original lock for the 62 GT. am i wrong? Has anyone else faced this problem? How did you solve it?
