'61 Bambi needs door

My Uncle has a 61 Bambi without its door. Any ideas where to start looking? I doubt anyone is parting-out a Bambi, but would another model from the same year work?

I have a door from a '67 Tradewind that I plan to sell. I don't know if it will fit or not. Plus, I believe that year Bambi had the door in door which would be nice to have. My door has a small crack in the frame and would need to be aluminum welded at that site. I got two estimates to do the welding & both were $300. The skin, hinge and screen door are in good shape. Again, I just don't know if it'll fit. Try Colaws and Ebay & something may pop up. Good luck.

"would you rather have a mansion full of money or a trailer full of love?"

This may be a long shot but worth a try. A while back I sold a 1958 Wanderer
to a nice lady in Long Beach Ca. for parts. Since then , she has decided to sell
such a trailer along with another one (1951 Cruissette) for 6k. I realize that this is extremely expensive, but If you ask her to pass on to you the info on
the new owner, that person may willing to sell the door alone. Her ad is on
Someone here had the link advertised couple of days ago as well.
Anyhow, here is a pic.
Only picture I have left, but you can see the door.

My guess is, being that the '61 Bambi was narrower than a '67 Tradewind, the curvature built into the doors wouldn't match up...

Have you checked at Cherokee RV in Denver? I vaguely recall that they had a door in the 'Airstream room', however I wasn't in the market for one so I don't recall the particulars. If it's another year you can at least take measurements & know what won't work.

Good luck on your search ~
