2004 Bambi - door tweaked?

Just bought a 2004 bambi 16. It appears that the door itself is tweaked out of profile with the side of the unit. The door closes easily but there is about 1/2" between the top of the door and the jamb. Could the door be "flattened" and needs to be trued back to the profile? I bent the screen door to make it fit, but the main door seems to be much more resilient.

If it was tweaked out of shape I don't think it would close easily.

seems like its straightened - not curved

Lost the contour of the trailer or the door is right and the airstream is tweaked? I'm going take some cardboard and make a pattern for the door side and the other side. Has anyone had a door bend/flatten?

Use the Google part of the Search function (up in one of the blue bars above) and you will find lots of posts on similar problems.

It often occurs because of an accident, say the door flies open while on the highway and gives itself a huge whack, or perhaps someone slammed it shut with an item wedged in the top.

In any event, the repairs seem to follow one of two main methods:
  • Arrange some combination of wood (2"X4" perhaps) and force (shoving) on the door to force it back into shape, or
  • Remove skin(s) (inside and/or outside)then adjust tension of same, and finally re-rivet them on in a manner to have the door "hold" a revised shape.
Good luck with it, it's not a job I'd like to have to do.
