2.75" wide Wardrobe Accordian Door problem

2010 Airstream 28ft International

The problem I am having is with the 2.75" wide Wardrobe Accordian Door which is next to the refrigerator. The door has no latch, no magnets to hold the accordian door. I was thinking about magnets to help hold the door shut but what glue product to use for metal and laminate?

I would appreciate anyone with a solution.

Mine is in storage, but I think it has velcro to keep it shut. Just buy some velcro with adhesive on the back and stick it on.

I made the choice with the magnets and used Super Glue because it sets up so quickly. I found 6 small magnets .25 x ,125 inches, approx at Home Depot and Gorilla Super Glue. I glued the magnets on the frame first, top, middle and bottom and let it sit for about 10 minutes, then placed a spot of glue on the magnets that would adhere to the hinged door and closed the door and pushed against the hinge at the three locations with my two hands and foot for five minutes. 24 hours later i pulled the door open and it works great.

Velcro works great, is inexpensive and comes with double-sided tape.

Has anyone replaced their accordion door with something else? Maybe not the place to ask, but we have a vintage AS and it once had an accordion door, but was kind of sad looking and we removed it.... still trying to figure out what we want there. Ideas? Thanks in advance!
