1986 Avion main door.

The door works fine. Somewhere in its life it had a minor incident that caused the sheet aluminum skin to come out from under the aluminum frame ( approx. 1 foot ) by the lower of the 2 hinges. Looking for info as how to spread the frame less than 1/4" to permit putting the skin back under the frame. Has anyone over dismantled a door? I'm hoping to remove the door and look for screws / fasteners that if removed will permit the repair. Any experience or opinions?? Many Thanx from Americus, Ga.

I think they assembled the door by sliding everything in through the bottom of the frame and when done welded the bottom side rail on.
The higher your expectations the fewer your options.
