What is the asking price? Judging by the pics it's worth about $1000, at most. Expect to put about $ 25000 in it( conservatively , if you do the work yourself) IMHO you would be waaaay ahead to find a better trailer. I see posts from people wanting to buy trailers like this, saying they are up to the challenge of rehabbing a "parts" trailer, & after 50+ posts of yays& nays, you never see any more posts from the perspective buyer! My point is, unless you have a sh%^#load of time& money, don't buy it! T

If my memory is correct (it rarely is), there was a presenter at last years Vintage Trailer Academy who built a door from scratch, or nearly from scratch. It certainly wouldn't be easy, but definitely possible.

Unless you are up for a major project and it is for sale for close to free...

Quite the challenge for a first-time project. I would run away unless it's "free"...and even then, it would be a major challenge.

Shari has it absolutely correct.

Doors and door locks
Don't know these people and never dealt with them, but seems to have the door you need.

Shacks, I've purchased from Dmitri at Silver Trailer before, with great success.

Agreeing here with several others - this is a giant project. Aside from the dented segments and panels, the door is a BIG deal. Even if you find a donor door from a same year rig, there's no guarantee it will fit as they were essentially custom fit on each individual trailer. Is the trailer close to free? Are you very, very handy?
By the time you fix, replace, refurbish and buy axles, appliances and parts you might have 20 or 25 K into the repair.

A BIG Thanks to you all for the advice, info and insight. Well... We bought it, anyway! $1000 with clear title our new GIANT project made the 4.5 mile trip home, no problem. I totally agree with you all that this will be an asskicker of a project, but we are a glutton for this kinda punishment. Oh, we still need a door
