1960 Tradewind - Bargman L77 Lock Replacement

Hello,

I'm looking for help/suggestions/advice from anyone who has replaced their Bargman L77 lock with a conventional locking door knob. Can this be done? If so, what modifications are required?

I have a 1960 Tradewind and the lock is one my last major issues I need to remedy, but have hit a serious dead end.

All thoughts on the subject are appreciated!

I got also a Airstream Land watch from 1960 with the same lock but the handle is broken on the bottom.

Any suggestion or soulution?
