Anyone seen a Uniden PC22 CB before?

Looking up under the dash on my 1984 345 Motohome I spotted a Black Box..
Some investigation suggests this is the control box for a Uniden PC22 CB radio. Someone in the M/H section suggested it has all the controls and display on the Mic/Handset.... and that is MIA..

This is all I can see, but there is a multipin plug below the dash, and a Mic Bracket.

I have searched the internet, and pretty much come up with nothing beyond an "Extention Cable".
No handsets, no manuals, very little info at all!
Anyone know more, or have any info?

Anyone seen a Uniden PC22 CB before?

Greetings Keyair!

We had a rash of CB thefts in our area in early 1982, and when I purchased a new Pontiac Bonneville that summer, a Uniden PC22 CB was an accessory that was installed. The CB receiver was mounted in the trunk, and a specialized extension cord connected the power-mike to the receiver. In my car's installation, the outlet for the microphone (which had all of the CB controls) was in the glove compartment of the car so it could be out-of-sight when not in use. My memory for the basic price for the CB is not clear, but I do remember that it was about one-and-one-half times the cost of a typical premium below dash CB of the time.

Good luck with your investigation!

Kevin

P.S.: I seem to remember that the special extension cable that ran between the trunk mount and the glovebox outlet ran something like $1.50 per foot and had to be special ordered from the Uniden dealer custom-made to length.

Thanks..
Well, the only piece I can find for this thing IS the Extension cable!

I will keep looking, but I am not hopefull...

Its been a long long time since I had a CB, but I also have this little "Add On" from my Dodge Van, if I either find the Handset or buy another...

Great news!
Searches online in the last year or so for the mic or parts have come up blank...

Then, last week one popped up on Ebay...
I snapped it up... even tho it said used, I thought $25 was a steal!

It arrived today... I am so happy!
Its not used at all...
No sign of ever being used or mounted. All the OEM brackets and screws are there... No instructions tho.
SO Happy, here it is!
