Which app for the IPad
If I want to follow the Forum on my I Pad do I use a mobile app as on the IPhone or use the browser?
I ask this because I find the browser much more user friendly but would like your thoughts before committing.

I've used the iPad app and find it handy to follow the threads that I'm subscribed to. For flat out browsing I'd rather use the web app since it's more feature rich. But just to see what's going on with the threads I'm active on, it works great.

Howie, on my Ipad and Android phone I don't use the apps, I find them to limited. I use the browser and see the site just like on a regular computer.

The Safari or Windows full version on everything. The app is dull. We are Streamers...we like bright cheerful things, not dull black and white text!

Gee, I get pics on the apps. When there are pics. There are a lot of posts without any.
Actually, I go back and forth. It's not that once you use one method you can never use the other. I find the browser interface more versatile.
However, I do most of my forum interaction using a computer rather than my iPhone or iPad.

I use my iPad when I'm on the road. (I travel for a living, but not in my Airstream ;( ) I find the app is quick and easy when I just want to catch up. I especially like the "Current" tab with since last visit. Easy to catch up in a hurry.

OK the browser is coming out ahead. Next question. Does Safari support TABS and remember passwords like Fire Fox does or can I just load Fire Fox?

Tab browsing in an Ipad is much like tab browsing in a Mac or pc. Tab browsing on an Iphone is different. For instance whenever you open a new tab on an Iphone the page loads and you are stuck waiting for the new page. Go back to the original tab and that page reloads, most of the time.

Safari on the iPad remembers most logins. (It won't for https sites). Firefox does not have a browser app for the iPad.
BTW I will add another vote for full web use when on my iPad vs the Airforums app when on the iPhone

iPad I use chrome browser ditto on most everything else I don't normally use my wife's iPhone to come to the forums on, so no app on that one. I do use the app on my Android phone because of the compact screen.

I find the browser to be a PITA on a phone. You have to keep zooming in to click on the correct links. The AIR Forums app is much better; it's actually formatted for the phone screen.
I haven't tried it on an iPad though. Wife has one but I rarely play with it.
