WeBoost using satellite connections

My Airstream has connections for both cable and satellite on the side. I do not have a satellite receiver.

I want to install an exterior antenna for a WeBoost system to boost cell signals.

Can I use the satellite connection on the side of the trailer for the RG6 cable from the exterior antenna and avoid making a hole in the trailer? I would then put the WeBoost amplifier next to the DVD player where the satellite cable appears inside the trailer.

Anyone see a problem with this?

As long as the antenna cable is RG-6 it’s worth a try. The only issue would be if the internal cable is badly shielded or not decent quality cable. It’s not going to damage the hardware, if that’s a concern...

Works fine if you have a WeBoost that uses f connectors, like the RV 65.

How did it work?

jnm30327. Trying the same setup using the exterior SAT input to connect the Weboost Drive RV. How did it work for you?

It works fine. If you use the sat connector the cable will be someplace in the area of the DVD player typically. Just need to be able to use F connectors on both the antenna and the weboost box. There are adapters available at Amazon or 5GStore if you need them.

Weboost portable install option

GT is kept in driveway and I wanted to boost poor signal at home and be able to have portable set up when camping. Using painter pole so I can get receiver high and move to best location when camping. Flat F type connector goes under rear window just fine. Also wired the Weboost 12 volt adapter behind this USB port by the door and the power cable is hidden and comes out where you see.
