The Leviton one I purchased 5VDC ~ 3.6A DC at both ports. It's No. T5632 for anyone interested.

Then that Leviton device could safely carry an iPad and a phone, but not two iPads.

We routinely connect iPads to some of our lower rated USB outlets at home and they do not fail, they simply charge the iPad at a slower rate.
