Unique Problem with DishN in 94' Excella

I have a single output coax recepticle with amplifier and 12V socket under the credenza between the dinette and the LR. There are three internal cable connections coming in/out of the recepticle inside the wall (antennae in, cable in, and output to a splitter for the bedroom and front TV). I tried to connect my Dish through the cable connection then staight off the external port on the recepticle but it didn't work. I pulled the recepticle out and connected directly to the cable wire and it worked. Is there some way to get through the amplifier connection to make this work? Can I split the cable input before the amplified recepticle and go into the amp with one and a new single plate recepticle with the other side? What kind of splitter should I use? This is a real pickle. Leaving for FL soon and would appreciate your inputs. DH>

Didn't hear from anyone so I pressed on. Had to diplex the cable wire and run a separate wire to the SAT box. Then the TV2 output from the SAT box had to go directly to a splitter and combine with the bedroom run. Had to keep the antennae AMP out of the SAT configuration. Had to make three 1foot RG6 cables, buy one duplexer, and a double wall connector. Took a long time to figure this out. Getting all the extra wires back in the wall was hard but was doable.

Did you do all this without pulling the interior skins? How did you manage it?
