Mounting Sat Receiver. Location?

After recently finializing the purchase of a Dish Network 211 HDTV satellite receiver, we are now faced with the installation.

Our 2008 INTL/FB 25 foot Ocean Breeze, came pre-wired for satellite TV. We've read the AS manual and perused Air Forum information regarding the wiring scheme and "how-to's", but are at a loss as to exactly where to mount the receiver? The jumper faceplate provided by AS is located under the dinette table close to the floor, on the wall. We have searched for pictures depicting examples of mounting locations...but have found none.

Could someone please point us in the right direction?

Thanks.

Take your pick. Mine sits on my dinette table. I wanted to mount it on the wall above the TV but I have just not goten around to it.

We thought about that, even attaching it directly underneath the dinette table itself. However, we often travel with twin 6 y.o. grandsons and the dinette table is dropped every evening for sleeping arrangments for them. Never considered mounting it on the wall above the TV. May mull over that idea for a bit.

I have a VIP211 just like you and similar trailer. I found it pretty easy to just set it on the table and run the coax cable to the outlet below by unhooking the table and putting that coax cable as well as a HDMI cable which then run under the seat cushions to the TV.

Mine sits on the floor under the dinette seat. I put it on a rubber mat with one corner raised a bit. Safely out of the way there. I run a 12' HDMI cable to the TV.
