Just bought an "iPad HD" or "iPad 3" or the "new iPad", whatever they're calling it. I have had the original iPad since they came out and love it. Don't forget to download the Airforums App!

My wife and I routinely download movies and TV shows from the iTunes store to watch, and I have an HDMI adapter that allows me to plug into the television for a larger screen.

Pandora is great for streaming music if you have a WiFi or 3G connection, and my wife is always making playlists from the 4000+ songs she has in iTunes.

We also use Skype all of the time with our family on our phones and laptops, so the camera in the new iPad will be helpful.

I'm curious as to what other applications people are finding useful on the road?

We are buying my son's 32GB IPad2, which he has had less than a year. He is getting the new one.

We are looking forward to having the IPad and all its' features on the road, but are starting to feel a bit techno-saturated.

Aah, well, it is 2012.

Maggie, saturated or not you are about to discover that the iPad is the best travel aid ever invented. You will soon wonder how you lived without one.

For $99 the new Apple TV can plug into your HDTV and then you can stream movies, photos wirelessly to the TV. You can also get an HDMI cable to plug in directly from the iPad to the TV.

I know, I know, that's what my kids keep telling me.

But then, to them, we are still in the Dark Ages in many respects.
