I Phones and the Forum

A question about the I Phone and Forums.

I replied to a thread using my I Phone the other day and that post never showed up on the Forum. It appears in my sent folder so I have to assume it went out. My question is, is there anything one has to do different to cause such a reply to appear in the Forum?

The internet has been flakey lately and I can only imagine that from an I-phone it is even more flakey. If you get an interuption if service during sending a reply it will disappear. The internet on my govenment computer is so flakey thanks to their spyware that there are frequent pauses. These pauses exceed timeouts in most browser software. I expect it is the same with I-phones. You have to check the thread you are posting to and see if your message got posted. Sometimes I have double posts because I kept hitting the post button when nothing would happen.

Huh? It appears in what "sent" folder? Sounds more like you sent an email than a forum post.

This is a reply from my iPhone. I usually use my Mac to check the forums, so I hadn't noticed anything. Let's see what I get.

Howie,

it's simply lost in a Verizon black hole!

it might show up, sooner or later....

OK, that went fine with no problems. However there was nothing to do with a "Sent" folder that I can find.

Take a look at the screenshot I attached. I hit the curved arrow icon at the top right of the screen and that brought up a menu, the top choice is "Reply to Thread."

The only "Sent Items" I can find on the app are if I hit the "Messages" icon in the center of the bottom. In the screenshot it has a red circle with a "1" on its upper right corner. This takes you to the PMs. Sounds like you accidentally PM'd instead of replied to the thread, maybe?

(And to be honest, I went back to my Mac for this lengthy reply. I grabbed the screenshot from the app webpage. It's not something I did on my iPhone and included in this post. Wouldn't have a clue how to do that.)

I will have to wait until someone else replies to this thread and I retrieve it on my I Phone then I will attempt to follow your suggestions and reply to that post. If I open a post via my computer I will not get notification of that post on my I Phone as I have set up my Verizon account to remove item from their server as I retrieve them via my computer.

As a second problem I can not seam to find this thread on my I Phone. I have not yet mastered the Forum on the phone.

BTW, were you trying to reply to a notification email of a post? Because you can't reply to those and have it show up...

Select "More" at the bottom right corner. "Subscribed" threads is the second choice. This makes it easier to follow threads you've posted to.

I'm no expert on the app, myself. It's ok for a quick check, but a real keyboard works much better for me. This reply took forever on my iPhone.
