Hack a vintage radio antenna for wifi?

I want to install a vintage style radio antenna like this one from VTS (Airstream Radio Antenna) and 'hack' it to be a wifi antenna / signal booster / range extender.

We can solder / weld if needed.

this looked promising

Basically won't work. Antennas are designed for a specific frequency range and become much touchier as you move into the frequencies used by WiFi, cell phones etc.
Best to buy an antenna designed for the job.

The VTS antenna was intended for use with an AM radio

well, poop.

Any ideas for boosting a wifi signal with a style that will fit in better with a vintage trailer?

I use a temporary mast mounted to the trailer tongue when I have need for an external antenna. In our case that is usually for the cell phone or data card as we are rarely anyplace that has wifi however the same thing applies.

None of these antennas have a "vintage look" unfortunately.
On a few occasions I have even used an external wifi adapter in a plastic bag taped to the pole. but that is pretty crude

I'm in the process of converting my rotatable TV antenna by cutting off the original TV part and screwing a couple of YAGI elements to it. I'll be able to crank it up and down, plus aim it.

Knock on wood it gets done and it works.
