Doin' the hop with a flagpole

I've been thinking ever since I saw the photo of 2air's flagpole mount.

Thinking of a similar rigid mount to hold sections of pipe (or fiberglass poles, or wood poles). Inside the pipe (or maybe wrapped around it), a +12v wire (well, and -12v, if the mast is nonmetallic). Atop the highest pipe, a wireless router in a suitable weather-resistant enclosure.

Router could either be WiFi only or have one of those Verizon EVDO/HSDPA cards.

No data cable required, because the router lets your data do The Hop (tm). A short wireless hop from your 'pooter to the top of the mast, and then out to the internets from there.
