Clarion speakers removal

I've read all the tips to remove Clarion speakers covers, but no luck getting the cover off so I can access the speaker and wires. I believe I have a loose connection as one started cutting in and out and one speaker does not work. I have a 2016 27 FB speakers are over the dinette . Thanks

Clarion speakers removal

Just replaced mine. The metal grills come off - they are pushed into the speaker frame.

I used the blade of a jackknife, stuck it between the black metal mesh grill and the plastic speaker outer ring... and pried off the grill. Comes out pretty easily exposing the 4 screws that hold the speaker to the ceiling / overhead bin.

I replaced with Polk MM1 series speakers and also installed dual din touch screen pioneer DA120 app radio with apple car play... clarion is the pits!

Big difference!

Thanks, I was trying to pry off plastic outer grill. When you wrote screen then it clicked in my lizard brain.

I tried the same approach - twisting the outer plastic shell, etc. then I was like - I'm gonna cut away the screen since I am tossing the speakers anyways... and the screen popped out
