2013 25" Eddie Bauer Ed. Satellite coax system info please!

We just sold our 20' Flying Cloud and had no trouble using our Wineguard satellite dish. The new Eddie Bauer that we just brought home does not have the loop connection on a plate on the wall. We read enough to find the satellite cable coaxial cable (inside the blue ray player box? - WEIRD location!!), but no loop to switch between cable and satellite.

Does anyone have any experience with the new Eddie Bauers to successfully set up the satellite?

Greatly appreciated...

Kathryn

When you figure it out let me know. On the outside of my Classic there are 2 coaxial jacks- one for cable which I have used successfully and one for satellite that I haven't used. We have a Winegeard satellite antenna and an old DirecTV receiver we used in the other trailer. I was thinking I could not use this setup because of the HDTV's and HDMI cables

Satillite hookup

Had the same problem with my 2013 27FB International. The Coax hooks to your Sat. receiver and the output is a HDMI cable. You have to buy a box to plug in the HDMI from the DVD and Sat. receiver feeds into and the HDMIs from the TVs. Airstream will sell you a box or I bought one on Amazon. I asked Airstream why they advertise Satellite ready when its not but they really didn't have an answer. With what Airstream supplied in the trailer you would have to unplug the DVD and plug in the Sat. every time you wanted to change inputs.

My 2012 has an HDMI splitter behind the blue ray player so it can feed both tv's. I wish mine had the setup like yours. I would mount the satellite box next to the Blu ray and use something like this to divide the signal.
2 Input 2 Output HDMI Switch

Thankyou Dakotahunter

Yes, that's our situation, and yes, Airstream sure leaves a lot to the imagination with the "satellite ready" in the Eddie Bauer! However, it's now do-able, thankyou for your help!

You have to replace the splitter box with the new one with multiple inputs and outputs. Kind of a wiring nightmare. I ended up taking everything apart including the box the DVD is in to get the wires routed to the correct boxes

Help, we have the same problem with our 25fb. I can not find the coax cable in the overhead bin at the DVD player.

I can connect the outside cable to the exterior of the trailer, but where does it go?

Had the same problem trying to hook up Direct tv. Finally after tons of research on the web and reading the manual over and overfigured it out.
Remove the wood box that sits over DVD player. In there you will find the cable for SAT.
I bought an HDMI splitter so I can switch between the two. I also got an extra HDMI cable to leave hooked up since I don't leave the receiver in there full time. Now all I have to do is get better at aligning the dish so I have a signal, hook up reciever and good to go.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the help. I removed the box over the DVD and found the coax cable even labeled Sat.

I have no idea why they don't pull it up through the access hole to begin with. Regardless all is good.

We removed the wooden shelf and vertical face plate to get to the TV and audio wiring in the Classic. We are installing a Tru-Link 4 sources x 2 outputs HDMI switch box acquired from C2G (Cables to Go) with their part number 40011. So we will have the factory DVD player, the Dish V211k satellite box and a Apple Mac mini as sources and the two factory televisions for the outputs. The user is able to display the same signal on both televisions or select one of the three inputs for a different program.

This is not an inexpensive switch, but a cheaper one has negative reviews with lots of issues.

If you use Directv, could/did you use a standard receiver? The standard receiver does not have an HDMI input.

We use the Tailgater system by Dish which has the V211k inside box. It has a coax cable input which also is used to send power to the antenna box. We came out of the box with a right angle HDMI adapter from Amazon because the box V211k is a deep box for the space available.

There is a USB connector on the Dish V211k receiver that for a small fee will be "turned on" by Dish and one can hang a hard drive there for DVR activities.
