I’m currently using a different, more retro, Winegard omni antenna and am satisfied with its performance.
The site didn’t give any data on what type of antenna is mounted in the shell. My guess would be an end-feed loop or folded dipole of some sort. The RS-2000 looks to be the easiest to mount and with 20db gain it should work well pulling in either digital or analog signals.
I just finished messing around with the antenna in the GT. Scroll down to post #5. It might give you an idea of what to expect for reception with digital. http://www.airforums.com/forums/f450...tml#post595165
An antenna is an antenna. There is nothing special that is done to any antenna to make it better or worse for digital reception. "Digital Ready" is just a marketing ploy, like "Stomach Ready" food. Well, maybe not a good analogy, some uncooked foods may not be "Stomach Ready"
