Where would the speakers go? 71 Tradewind

I have a '71 Tradwind 25' and no stereo. I found a harness in the end cap and figured out which wires are for power, and that the camper is pre wired for a stereo system. I have a new JVC digital receiver and new Polk 6x9's to install but no clue where to cut holes for the front speakers or where in the walls the speaker wires are. I would imagine it would be hard to route new wires without removing wall panels. Thanks in advance!

My '66 Trade Wind had the same bunch of wiring although I believe a PO wired it. A couple years back I was cleaning out the front over head storage and something told me to look behind the face panels to the right and left of the doors. Behold there were speaker holes cut into the inner face...I suppose if the front was 'taken' off it would expose the hole...about 6" in dia. They don't appear to have been cut by anyone but Airstream.

They should have been mounted in the wall just below each outer end of the end cap.

My 1975 Sovereign has 4 speakers mounted. Two in the front (one on each side) ahead of the side windows but below the front cabinet. The other two are mounted in the bedroom area one on each side. I have the rear bath, center twins. If you need exact dimensions I can get those.

I think a photo of speaker placement would get me in the ballpark to drill a pilot hole. I thought about mounting them in the end cap but there would be too much buzz from the plastic shell. I think I will also need spacers to accommodate the depth of the 6x9's.

Had to go the the campground this morning to put a couple spare aluminum tanks in the storage building. Not the best pic (cell phone) but maybe it will help.

The measurements to the speaker center: from the rear edge of the end cap 10.25" - from the bottom of the end cap (up under the drapery trim piece) 8.5". The originals are 5.25" speakers.
