What kind of antenna do you use?

I didn't want to hijack Ted's thread on this, so I started a new thread.....

While searching for my first twinkie, I've been compiling my list of wants and sketching out some things.

One question. What kind of TV/radio antennas do you use? I have no desire to deal with any of the satellite companies (why should I sign a contract just to watch tv?????) I plan on having one radio with speakers in all areas (bath included!) and TV up front and in sleeping area (I can't go to sleep without SOMETHING on the tube, call me weird, my wife has for three years now) Do you use any kind of amp? I installed a lot of dishes in the past back before they started leasing equipment and having contracts and the installers are all third rate sub-sub-sub contractors, and I had a analog meter to aim it, I also had one for off-air antennas but I haven't seen them around in years, anyone know where I can find one?

Yes call me weird but I love my electronic gizmos.
