My installation has been great. I hid all the wires and got rid of the antenna. I do take the TV off the mount when we are traveling on the road. It is very easy because it slides in and out.

I mounted it (22" Vizio) to the wall panel directly. Was concerned about the weight but it holds up fine. Holes drilled through the panel with a small nuts on the back side. I take it down for travel so it doesn't swing out.
Mounted the stereo/dvd player in the overhead bin above the TV where there is power. Antenna runs down the back side along the fridge vent and out the door of the panel.
TV swings out to face the bedroom as well.

I'll soon be mounting a couple 23" Samsungs onto swivel mounts - one in the 'living room', mounted on the front wall of the bathroom, the other in the bedroom, mounted on the back wall of the bathroom.

I have to admit being a bit apprehensive about the weight, but it seems that others have mounted much larger TVs than 23" (I think I remember a 32"? wow...). We're going to install a support plate of sorts on both of the bathroom walls - but what I'm mainly concerned with now is esthetics in the bathroom.

Hubby suggested plywood and painting it white which just gives me the blahs. Maybe a piece of aluminum? But that wouldn't be as strong as plywood, is that correct?

Maybe I'll hang a few lightweight picture frames in the bathroom to hide the necessary but ugly support block. I already have a towel ring in there, so I don't need another one...

On my '77...
Instead of mounting in the center of the wall and using the arm to collapse on itself during folding, I mounted it into the edged of the wall and actually let the lag screws go into part of the refridg' frame. An Ape could swing on the arm with out it moving! The side benefit, the television could swing all the way around the edge of the fridge, point rearward and be seen in the bedroom.

I stold Terry's photo and did a markup to show where I mounted mine...

I mounted a 15" LCD TV on an extendable swivel mount four years ago and it's held up great during travels.

Hmmm. I don't have ready access to my A/S to see what I could 'jimmy' up. We almost got stuck in the snow yesterday going out to the barn where it's overwintering to get some measurements... At any rate, I'm guessing I could mount the bedroom TV in the same sort of fashion - right on the corner. But I'm not sure about the other TV. I seem to remember that the CCD wall on the 28' behind the dinette is curved where it transitions to the hallway. In that case I'd have to do a regular mount and bolster it on the other side with something - if I don't then I'd always be slightly nervous on bumpier roads that the mount or wall would fail.

If you've ever driven your Airstream to Mont Tremblant in Quebec from Ottawa, you'd know what I was talking about.

I mounted mine on the wall over the fridge directly to the panel. The wall itself without reinforcement is strong enough but I take it down for travel as I don't want it to swing out or break loose or be a theft issue. The DVD player/amp/tuner is in the bin directly overhead. The screen is a 22" Vizio.

It was a step at a time process doing the wood work. I have to tighten up the Allen screws on the TV from time to time to keep it level. It's just the right size to fit in a plastic bin under the bed for travel. Also bought a Bose/Onkyo stereo from Sam's that fits in the overhead bin and then mounted the small Bose speakers in the front and the subwoofer next to the furnace.

When I redid my kitchen and countertop area last year I installed a wall mount TV support on the wall that faces the fridg. I put in a new peice of plywood and added a 1/2" thick piece of wood 12'" square on the back side. I then mounted my wall mount holder in this area. This provides a very secure holder for the TV. The wall mount devise attaches to the TV and then snaps in place on the holder on the wall. The TV can be removed for storage, it also swivels for positioning. I do not travel with the TV mounted.

I also build a cover to hide my satellite box and all of the wires. It matches the wood on my bar/counter top. The front has screen mesh so that the remote works and can be removed if need and is held in place with Velcro. I also installed a XM satellite that connects to my stereo system throw the FM frequency modulator. Here are a few pictures

I Like it!!! Great idea. I need a good place to keep my DVD player and Satellite Receiver. Right now they are kept in the credenza and I'm not satisfied with that.

Just found a picture in an article on Airstream.com regarding winter care of LCD tvs. The metal bar shown would be perfect for my situation. It would allow me to mount my bracket without removing my fridge! Anyone know the source?
