I have a 08 23 foot safari and want to mount a 26 inch flat screen on the wall next to the ref. Any one out their done that yet. Anyone else advise>>>> Is that short wall solid or what? Rob
Hi Rob,
The short wall in my 1976 rear bath 29' AS is not solid. There are several pieces of 1X that can be seen through the outside refrigerator access door. I mounted a 7" wide 3/4" ply board on the center of the short wall that runs from the credenza to the top of the short wall. The primary anchor is through the wall into the end of the shelf above the fridge. I've mounted a 27" lcd to the ply board. Seems to be holding up ok.
It is "solid" mine looks like press board with plywood stiffners.
I mounted my 23 in LCD TV there. Are you sure a 26 will fit? 23 was about as big as I could get to fit in my trailer. Since I could not through bolt it, I used many short screws in the mounting plate.

I spoke with john hd after he pulled and replaced his fridge. It's what it looks like -- there is absolute minimal space between that wall panel and the fridge. You couldn't use any type of hollow wall anchor without penetrating the fridge. Michelle, your TV is mounted flat on the wall? Michelle might have the easiest answer. I'd think you'd want to pull the fridge and use elevator bolts from the backside if you plan on using an articulated arm.

Bob,
I used the original factory bracket and put more screws in it. The 23" TV was substantially heavier than the "upgrade" 19". I also punched out the studs and put in bolts.
