tv converter..

Why do they have tv setup with a 110 converter down to 12 volt for flat screen tv? Rather then just have tv directly wired to 12 volt, that way no inverter is needed to dry camp, plus you don't wear out the 110 converter that's hooked to electric all the time, even though you may have tv off. We put ours on a receptical switch that way we turn it off when not in use. Now we can turn off the converter when tv's not in use with electrical power for the camper still on at the camp site, extending life of converter...
