TV Antenna Replacement

After much consideration, I have decided to replace the skyliner antenna with a batwing style Winegard. This is a two part posting.

First, can any one advise me what would be the most suitable batwing TV antenna? My '88 29' Excell is equipped with a booster. In considering the Winegard antenna, does my existing booster still apply or do I need to replace that booster with the Winegard amplifier? Any advice on the removal of the existing and/or the installation of the new would be greatly appreciated.

The second part of this posting is to say that I will have a used Skyliner that I will be parting with. It has suffered from some metal fatigue that sheared the base at the main mounting pin. The part that is damaged is the base assembly #12928. All other parts, including the worm gear are in fine condition.
