TV antenna
took delivery of our new fc 26u last weekend. We've been reading the manuals to get to know our new home. The book says you can adjust the white flying saucer antenna, but does not say how. Can anyone tell me where the crank handle is?

I'm reading page 5-11 of owner's manual . Do not see rotation instruction.
If your reading antenna manual it's probably a diff. model.
Congrat's on your 26U.

Check cable connect on back of TV.Added a right angled fitting to protect cable. When it came out straight ,the TV mount hit the cable and damaged it. Still hits right angle but not cable.

Welcome to the forum! And congratulations . . .
Do you have a separate mfg. manual for the antenna in the second plastic sleeve inside the briefcase which came with the trailer?

Most owners of newer Airstreams with the new antenna don't rate it highly. Looks like Airstream made a bad choice when replacing the Winegard batwing model from previous model years.

The antenna itself does not adjust...not something you can do. What you can do, however, is have your television scan, via the antenna, for stations and it will "set" those stations while you are in that particular location.
I accidentally broke my antenna (long story) and have been having quite a challenge getting the new one to snap in place on the mast. The manufacturer sent me the new one for $57.

We have the new round antenna, works fine. We were going to replace it based on input put forth on these forums but after 10,000 miles last summer we are not going to bother. It does not move and cannot be adjusted.

I would like to go backwards to the crank-up, manual rotate, batwing style antenna. The omni-directional white Winegard antenna is abysmal. First off, at least on my 2016 28ft FC, the antenna sets lower than the AC/Heat pump unit. It's also very close to the AC/Heat-pump unit. I talked to Winegard and they stated that the antenna should be, from the center of the antenna, 18 inches from closet obstruction. The factory install does meet that requirement, but it set lower than the AC unit. I inquire about a taller stanchion or extension to increase this height, but nothings available. While at the Airstream factory, camping in the Teraport, TV receptions outright sucks and it's not that far (straight-line) to Piqua and/or Dayton Ohio.

Was lowering my TV antenna today and managed to break the plastic crank handle (without too much pressure?) .
So two questions I hope someone may know the answers to :
1. How do you get the handle off.
2. Suggestions on where I can find a replacement.
Thanks.

There is a set screw that holds the handle on the vertical rod. If memory serves me right it is a hex nut As to replacement I would try Airstream.

New handle is ~$7 (well $9 on amazon with Prime 2-day shipping). Small 2 or 3mm Allen key to remove / replace. 2 minute job - ask me how I know

Thanks Dana.
Wulfratt, thanks, based on your avatar and board name, guessing a hybrid of a royal wulff and a rusty rat... atlantic salmon issues by any chance ?

We'll be parked near the home of the Royal Wulff next week. My wife is guiding all week and she doesn't want to commute. But we've gotten off topic here.
