This was our solution to the question of where to mount a television in our 1978 Safari. Basically it is a vertical drawer with two 10 pound gas lifts to help with lifting and holding the television in the up or down position. I built a shelf for the top (because the cutout wasn't very clean) but it adds a nice place to put photos, plants, remote, etc... The wife loves the final product and it does do it's job very well. Just thought I would share in case anyone else had the same issue of where to install a television in their older trailer.
