Television hook up to speakers

Can anyone advise how to connect television speakers (RCA plugs out) to the installed speaker system in the 2007 Safari-20ft?

The RCA outputs are not speaker level, they are line level outputs in most cases. They are designed to be used to connect to receivers, or in your case, the aux input on your coach stereo.
Many of the outputs on tv's can be switched to be either constant or variable. When switched ot constant, the level is always the same, volume control must be done via the stereo.
When variable, then you can conrol the volume via the TV, since it varies the feed to the stereo. You just leave the stereo at a medium volume setting.
You may have to purchase a specialty connection kit of sorts, depending on your individual case.

It is quite likely that you have wires in the wall for this. What AV package did you get?

Did your unit come with the audio/video upgrade?

Just have the AM/FM/CD/MP3 Player with four ceiling mount speakers. Then added the wall mount for flat screen tv. No A/V upgrade for that.

Hi Silverbee, If your AM/FM/CD/MP3 Player has an RCA Aux. input you can run the TV through that. Or get a little amp to power the wall mount speakers. More info about the TV and AM/FM/CD/MP3 Player would help. Model number and features.

I tried to have the TV wire plug to the RCA input and it doesn't work. From the player manual it seems that an optional device need to be added in between the wire and the player.
to find the source... It's a Sony player but don't know which one

Its likely that the A/V jacks you plugged into are for a CD changer, I don't think these will work for the TV, I believe they also need a control circuit connected. I have the newer model Sony and I am planning to replace it with a unit that has an AUX input just for this purpose.

The model I have is the CDX-F5000 and this unit does not have an AUX input only inputs for a multiple CD changer. To conect my TV/DVD I am going to replace this unit with one that has an AUX input. Anyone have a recommendation?

Go to Parts Express - Amplifiers, Head Units, Speakers, Wiring Kits, Subwoofers, Dampening
They have very good solutions for mobile 12V powered video.

You can probably use an antenna modulator that goes in line to your antenna input. Your TV line outs plug into this. Then, you can tune to a certain FM station, and play the TV sound through the radio section. The sound quality will not be quite as crisp as a direct aux input, but it's not so bad that it's unbearable. TV sound often isn't that good anyways, due to the maximum compression the TV enginners use.
I am not talking about the FM that receives through teh antenna, I am referring to the hardwired FM system. Many use this to connect their ipods to car stereos.
