We picked-up our 28' 2015 this past weekend and noticed that one side of the audio wasn't outputting to the Clarion stereo. The TV was pulled off the wall and the custom analog output is still there. It connects to the in-wall wiring via RCA connectors and then to the back of the Clarion. The connections at the back of the TV were fine. The Clarion was removed and one of the rear connections was loose. To the OP, you'll just have to check the cabling if you are on the AUX input and have the TV set to internal speakers. Everything is there and it may just be loose or possibly mis-cabled.

I'm fairly critical of quality (a bit of a audiophile/videophile) and although the system isn't nearly über high-end, it's decent for a camping setup ....and I haven't noticed any buzzing sound emanating from my subwoofer. Perhaps the different layout changes some wiring that causes interference.

On our first night out our son, niece and her friend all sprawled out on the 28's lounge and watched Transformers (in 1080P) off a USB flash drive in full stereo. They loved it so much they wouldn't go to sleep

This brings up another point, boy am I glad we decided on the Twin. While the kids watched the movie in the front, four adults were able to sit in the bedroom and have a wonderful conversation.....that would be weird on a queen .

Would this be able to be retrofitted? This antenna has good reviews.

KJ the new antennas do not go through to the interior. So unless you want to put a big hole all the way through there is no way to rotate the antenna.

The Jack is a good retrofit for the fold over Winegard Sensar.

I had some issues as well with the connections, and until I pulled the main TV off the wall, played with the connections, then removed the Clarion and also, twisted the connections, I had no AUX audio from the Clarion. After my fiddling, I then had audio which was the same as the TV sets speakers, at an adequate level for the house speakers even when the TV was at about 25% volume.

Maybe they need to use some dielectric grease or electrical cleaner on all the connections. I cannot understand why there is no quality check in Airstreams, but have intentions of attempting to find this out.

I just got a new 2015 flying cloud 30. During my walk through I had the tech show me how to get TV sound through the Clarion speakers. Using the Clarion remote, turn on the "radio"/tuner. Set it to AUX. Sound worked just fine.

May need to increase Clarion volume to hear TV sound on overhead speakers

We have a 22" Samsung LED TV model UN22F5000AF and Clarion M502 in our FC20.

The TV did not have an "External Sound" option anywhere on the TV menus, but apparently it works with the overhead speakers anyway - Airstream must have wired the TV to use Clarion AUX input.

What originally threw me was, when I initially turned on the Clarion, it was set to the "Tuner" source and the volume was loud enough at that point. When I changed the Clarion source to "AUX", I heard nothing, and assumed I was out of luck.

I just retried this setup and turned the Clarion volume way up - and it worked! Be sure to reduce the volume so you dont blast your ears next time you turn Clarion on or change source to "Tuner".

FYI, on aux, I have the Clarion volume set at 25, the television then is about 8-10 volume and all works well.

Oh, yes, one more note. I think I have figured out how to operate the Clarion. After playing with the instructions, learning how to program the SIRIUS/XM presets, understanding the remote seems to be necessary to do this, figuring out the function of push, push/hold, push/hold/up, push/hold/down, right, left, rotate, .....see how easy this is.......LOL.....

Sent from my padded cell at the New Mexico Institute for the Criminally Insane....... Now, if they will ship my King Jack antenna to my new address....

(Just kidding)

Flying Cloud Antenna Booster

As there are four floor plans for the 25 Flying Cloud, my answer is generic. Next to the television in the main room should be a connection of the antenna input to the television. On the wall plate there is a small black button, about 1/8 inch across, this should be the booster. Push once and a green light should come on on the same wall plate.

Make certain the 12v power is on. The television is no doubt plugged into an outlet requiring shore line power or a generator running. The alternate power for the television is the outlet marked as inverter power. This requires the inverter to be on.

Also, if you turn on the audio system, Clarion no doubt, this allows the television sound through the house audio speakers if "Aux" is selected as the source for the Clarion.

Not so much a reply, but a related query for the wisdom of the crowd. I too have a 2015 FC 25. The lounge area TV seems to be mounted to the wall with no swivel bracket. Of course the TV is mounted right about head-height when lounging on the bench seat...very awkward. I'd like to add a swivel bracket, but there seems to way to access the current mounting hardware. I'm thinking one has to remove the refrigerator, which occupies the other side of the wall - probably a through-bolt of some kind. Anyway, has anyone had any experience with this TV bracket situation?

No, if it is like the 2015 Serenity 27FB you definitely do not go through the refrigerator compartment.

It is a little tricky but there is a release catch behind but near the top of the TV. You need to use a screwdriver to slide the the steel catch over and then you can lift the tv off of the mount.
