Switching radio from front to back speakers

I have a dumb question. We have a Sony CDX-F500 CD/Radio in our 2006 Classic and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to turn the speaker sound to the back bedroom off and just have it play in the main galley. I read the Sony book and looked through the Airstream book and can't find out how to do this. Anyone out there able to help me figure this out? I'd appreciate it - thanks!

If you go through all your sound settings, you will find one called "fade" that controls volume to front and rear speakers.
To find your sound settings, you will have to spend time with your owners' manual.

What he said.

I use the fader when I am in the living room and my wife is in the bedroom washing TV.

Some models are equipped with a speaker selector switch. I don't know what year they started installing it. Mine was built in '07. Its purpose is to support the connection of optional wireless outdoor speakers. It is labeled In-Out-Both. If you have one, the Both position turns off the bedroom speakers... Someone must have thought that was logical.

Silver Goose,
I have the same selector as you do. does your Out setting work with a separate speaker? My In and Both work fine.
Thanks in advance.

We have gone through the manual for the CDX-F5000 and can't find any instructions for changing the speaker output to front or back. The AS is 2006. Any help would be appreciated.

We figured it out by looking at the manual on line and playing with the volume button until we found the fade button. Happy campers now. Hubby has radio and I get to read in bed.
